On April 22, 2014, The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (Interpublic) announced its financial results for Q1 2014. The Company reported a 6.1% YoY increase in revenues to $1.6 billion. The increase in revenues was primarily driven by organic growth, partially offset by foreign currency translations. Net loss available to IPG common stockholders narrowed to $20.9 million or $0.05 per diluted share, from a loss of $59.2 million or $0.14 per diluted share in Q1 2013. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the Company to report a loss of $0.08 per share and revenues of $1.60 billion for Q1 2014. Michael I. Roth, Interpublic's Chairman and CEO, said that the Company remains well-positioned to meet or exceed 2014 organic growth target of 3% to 4% and an operating margin of 10.3% or better.
