DALLAS, Jan. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Fifty elite service men and women from Ft. Hood will be competing for bragging rights as the toughest and fastest in the finals of the inaugural Military Combine hosted by the Dallas Cowboys and Caliber Collision on February 25 at AT&T Stadium.
The soldier athletes will be competing and running the same drills as athletes competing in the NFL Combine. One female and one male winner will have the privilege of announcing the 2017 Dallas Cowboys draft pick in April.
According to Steve Grimshaw, President and CEO of Caliber Collision, the event was organized in partnership with the Dallas Cowboys "to honor our military and the incredible athletes who serve our country day in and day out."
Open to Public, Free Admission to AT&T Stadium
The public is invited to attend the Military Combine to cheer on and support the military athletes as they compete. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy:
- Access to the AT&T Stadium Field for family friendly activities
- Meet and get autographs from Dallas Cowboys alumni.
- Meet and greet the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders
- Entertainment and photo ops with Rowdy.
A highlight of the day's activities will be the unveiling and presentation of three cars to Ft. Hood soldiers in need of reliable transportation. The donations are part of Caliber Collision's Recycled Rides program where the company teams up with their insurance partners to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need. The three vehicles being gifted at the Caliber and Cowboys Military Combine were donated by State Farm and repaired by Caliber teammates who volunteered their time as a way to give back to the military community.
"This Military Combine is our way of joining with our partners and our community to honor and give back to our nation's military heroes," said Grimshaw. "It promises to be a fun-filled day but more important, the Combine showcases and highlights the high caliber of men and women who selflessly serve to protect our country."
