REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 14, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- A recently published report by Dell'Oro Group, the trusted source for market information about the networking and telecommunications industries, indicates that full-year 2010 sales of Fibre Channel and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) switch sales are on track to eclipse $2.0 billion, rising 16 percent over 2009 levels. Fibre Channel switch sales dominate the combined market, and have been propelled by user adoption of 8 Gbps. In particular, Cisco's switch sales that were plagued by supply constraints through early 2009 have benefitted by its customer base migrating to its new 8 Gbps products.
