Daniel Brownstone, a San Francisco-based of counsel attorney in the intellectual property group, concentrates his practice on patent strategic counseling, portfolio development and management, and prosecution for technology clients ranging from start-ups to multinationals. He is an adjunct professor of law at The University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he teaches patent drafting and prosecution, and chairs a subcommittee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Brownstone earned his J.D. from Washington University, St. Louis and an A.B. in Computer Science and Economics from Duke University.
Larissa Neumann, a Mountain View-based associate in the tax practice, focuses on U.S. tax planning, tax controversy and tax litigation, with an emphasis on international transactions. She has broad experience advising U.S. companies and foreign-based clients on the taxation of cross-border operations, acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings and transfer pricing issues. Her clients range from high technology start-ups to large Fortune 500 companies. Neumann frequently speaks at industry conferences and has authored several articles on tax developments. She appears as a Rising Star in Euromoney's World Leading Tax Advisors and was selected for inclusion in the Americas Women in Business Law Awards shortlist for Best in Tax Dispute Resolution. She earned her J.D. from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall), an M.A. in public health from Yale University and a B.S. in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
Antonia Sequeira, a Mountain View-based associate in the intellectual property practice, focuses on patent prosecution, counseling, analysis and litigation. Her focus includes medical and biotechnology devices, digital health/health IT, laboratory automation, bioscience, biopharmaceutical, software and Internet areas. Her clients include large corporations, start-up companies, venture capitalists and universities. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Supreme Court of California, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She earned her J.D., from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall), and a B.S, summa cum laude, in biological sciences, with a concentration in anatomy and physiology from California Polytechnic State University.
William Skinner, a Mountain View-based associate in the tax practice, focuses primarily on U.S. and international corporate tax matters. He has significant experience in international tax planning and works regularly on issues involving Subpart F, income sourcing and the foreign tax credit, cross-border reorganizations, acquisitions and restructurings, inbound issues and tax treaties, as well as tax controversies, corporate transactions/M&A tax, and the taxation of financial instruments and products. Prior to joining Fenwick, Skinner clerked for The Honorable Carlos T. Bea on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He earned a J.D. from Stanford Law School, with distinction, and was a member of the Stanford Law Review. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of California, Berkeley.
