Fashion Project Announces New Partnership With Nordstrom To Reward Customers Who Give Back
Participants who donate qualifying items to Fashion Project will receive a $40 Nordstrom Gift Card
BOSTON, March 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Fashion Project, the premier online clothing, shoes and accessories donation service, today announced a new partnership with Nordstrom that gives savvy shoppers the opportunity to pay their fashion forward. It's easy: when participants donate five qualifying items to Fashion Project (FashionProject.com), proceeds from the re-sale of the items will benefit a registered 501(c)3 charity of the participant's choice. In addition, participants will now also be able to earn a $40 Nordstrom Gift Card.
"This partnership with FashionProject.com is a fantastic opportunity for our customers because it makes it easy for them to give back to their favorite community organizations and update their wardrobe, all at the same time," said Brian Dennehy, Nordstrom chief marketing officer. "Supporting our communities has always been important to us at Nordstrom, and we know that it means a lot to our customers as well. We're excited to partner with FashionProject.com and give our customers a new way to lend their support to those organizations that matter most to them by simply cleaning out their closets."
By visiting www.fashionproject.com/nordstrom, participants can register, select a 501(c)3 charity to support (or request that one be registered to be included), and request a pre-paid mailing envelope for their donations.
After a participant has donated five qualifying items, they will receive a $40 Nordstrom Gift Card in the mail from FashionProject.com. Qualifying items must meet or exceed $50 in original retail price; be in nearly new or great condition; and be one of brands listed on the FashionProject.com website (www.fashionproject.com/nordstrom/brands).
"We are so thankful that Nordstrom shares our vision and commitment to giving back," said Anna Palmer, CEO of FashionProject.com. "The generosity of their customers will change lives in local communities and around the world."
