Fashion Innovation Shines Through on the Final Day of Vauxhall Fashion Scout Alongside Official Make-Up Sponsor The Body Shop
LONDON, September 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Official make-up sponsor, The Body Shop, promises a grand finale to the largest independent event hosted during London Fashion Week, the Vauxhall Fashion Scout. The cutting-edge event has hosted over 30 shows from some of the most innovative designers in the fashion industry and looks to close on a high today, with catwalk shows from Leutton Postle and the Swedish School of Textiles.
Dubbed by Vogue.com as a "talent goldmine" and recognised as a driving force in fashion innovation, the Vauxhall Fashion Scout showcases designer's collections through catwalk shows, salon shows, presentations, fashion films and exhibitions. The VFS has been home to new budding designers, and is responsible for launching great talents such as William Tempest and Peter Pilotto.
The Body Shop has sponsored the Vauxhall Fashion Scout for the past three years and uses cruelty-free-make-up to create key catwalk looks across the event, which has taken place across London Fashion Week.
The make-up artists will be headed up by the award-winning Lan Nguyen, who last year won the Professional National Make-Up Awards 2011. The diverse collections on show enable The Body Shop to demonstrate the versatility of its make-up ranges, complementing the designers work with creative make-up visions.
The Body Shop is also extending its reach within the cosmetic world, having already established its natural skincare products and cruelty-free ranges. It now is looking to educate consumers to fashion forward make-up ranges too.
The Vauxhall Fashion Scout finishes today at the Freemasons Hall in Covent Garden.
