Farach Named "Outstanding Member of the Year" of The Florida Bar's Business Law Section

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- McGlinchey Stafford PLLC is pleased to announce Manuel Farach, a Member in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office, was recently named The Florida Bar Business Law Section's 2016 "Outstanding Member of the Year."

The award reflects Farach's many distinguished accomplishments of the last year as well as his service to the Business Law Section. Farach publishes the weekly Florida Real Property and Business Litigation Update, a highly read weekly compilation of Florida real estate and business cases, available as a resource for the members of the Business Law Section. In addition to his serving on numerous committees, the Section cited Farach for his work in leading the Section's amicus response in a significant case as well as leading the Section's involvement for several years in proposed amendments to the rules regulating business lawyers in the state of Florida.

Farach is widely recognized as a leader in the legal field and brings three decades of transactional and litigation experience, including as outside general counsel for a savings and loan association, to help his clients address legal challenges. His perspective combines legal knowledge with a practical understanding of the financial services industry, focusing on transactional matters (with an emphasis on real estate), business litigation, debtor-creditor law, creditor representation in bankruptcy, and appellate law. He is board certified by The Florida Bar in both Real Estate Law and Business Litigation.

Farach is a member of the Executive Council of the Business Law Section, Real Property Section, and the ADR Section, and serves as Chair of several committees within these sections of The Florida Bar. Farach is highly active in the South Florida legal community and has served in leadership roles within multiple organizations. He was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court as Chair of its committee on business and jury instructions. He has been recognized for his leadership and professionalism by the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach County Bar Association, among numerous other accolades recognizing his excellence in the practice of law.

A 1985 graduate of the Florida State University College of Law, Farach is a regular speaker on topics as diverse as real estate law, business litigation, technology law, and professionalism.
