Falun Gong Practitioners Urge Independent International Investigation of China's Labor Camps and Prisons Regarding Organ Harvesting
WASHINGTON, Aug. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being released by the Falun Dafa Association of Washington, DC:
When: Friday 08/17/2012, 12:00 PM
Where: Bloomberg Room, The National Press Club
529 14th St. NW, 13th Floor, Washington, DC 20045
Who: Representatives of Falun Dafa Association of Washington, D.C., and Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in China
What:
The trial of Bo Gu Kailai's murder of Neil Heywood in China has revealed more information of live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners and sales of their organs and bodies for huge profits.[1] The gruesome picture of what has been going on in China's jails, detention centers, labor camps, and other facilities warrants the attention of the international community and an immediate independent investigation.
Falun Gong practitioners urge the U.S. government and the international community to request the Chinese Communist regime to let independent investigators go inside places such as jails, labor camps, detention centers, military hospitals, etc. to carry out random and thorough investigation of those heinous crimes against humanity. Do not let "Never Again" be cried out again before it is too late!
Background:
In early 2006, The Epoch Times first exposed the Chinese Communist Party's crime of organ harvesting of live Falun Gong practitioners through several witnesses. The international community was skeptical of the allegations in the beginning. However, independent investigators, such as David Kilgour and David Matas, have substantiated the allegations [2] and called it a "new form of evil on this planet."
