CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- A recent report examined 50 different websites that utilized the Ezoic publishing platform in 2018. The study found that these sites saw dramatic growth in monthly traffic, total revenue, average EPMV (earnings per mille [thousand] visitors), and new organic keywords.
The recent study — conducted by Ezoic — featured 50 diverse publishers that started using Ezoic's technology at the beginning of 2018. After one year, these publishers observed an average increase in monthly traffic of over 85 percent and a total average revenue increase of over 258 percent.
"This is all about visitor engagement. Our technology is built so that publishers can automate intelligent decisions at scale on their websites. This means dynamically altering things like ads or layouts to extend visitor sessions and improve the reader's experience. Visitors go to more pages and spend more time on the site. Search engines and advertisers view this behavior favorably," said Ezoic's marketing leader, Tyler Bishop.
The steep improvements in both revenue and traffic were driven by a core group of publishers that saw exponential results, but almost all publishers saw significant growth. Ezoic studied the 20 sites with three-fold revenue increases even further in a recent blog that highlights the attributes they had in common.
Websites in the full report included publishers of all shapes and sizes from across the globe. While the Ezoic platform was not solely responsible for the improvements made during the time of the study, Ezoic's core machine learning technology did allow all of these websites to automatically adjust elements of the websites to better engage and monetize their audiences.
The full report went on to show that the average website saw 90,091 more monthly visitors, 1,222 new organically ranked keywords, and a $1,720 increase in monthly revenue by the end of the year long study.
