BOSTON, Dec. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Executive Coach Karen Carmody provided coaching at the12th Annual Massachusetts Conference for Women. Themed "The Power of Us: Amplify Your Voice", the conference was held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. This event has grown to a sold-out crowd of more than 11,500 attendees making it the largest women's conference in the country.
Carmody provided coaching at the International Coach Federation of New England's (ICFNE) Coaches Corner. As part of the Amazon Career Pavilion, The Coaches Corner is designed to provide one-one-one "speed coaching" sessions by International Coach Federation (ICF) certified coaches. The ICF is a non-profit and the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession through both personal and business coaching.
"This is my fourth year coaching at the Massachusetts Women's Conference", said Carmody. "The Coaches Corner provides a great opportunity for participants to experience the benefits of coaching. Each year I'm reminded of the power of coaching and why I love what I do."
This year marks the 5th anniversary of ICFNE's partnership with the Massachusetts Women's Conference. ICFNE is the third largest ICF chapter in the United States, the fifth largest in North America, and the tenth largest in the world.
This year's keynotes were delivered by Spanx founder Sara Blakely, Wall Street executive Carla Harris, Civil Rights Attorney Anita Hill, and Activist against campus sexual assault Annie Clark. Participants also heard from business mogul and ABC Shark Tank star Kevin O'Leary, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Massachusetts Lt. Governor Karyn Polito.
"We're excited to present such a bold and dynamic slate of leaders who can speak to the most pressing issues women are facing today," said Gloria Larson, board chair of the Massachusetts Conference for Women.
In addition to a standout lineup of keynote speakers, the conference featured breakout sessions led by 100+ industry experts about topical issues including leadership, personal branding, philanthropy, health and wellness, finance, work-life integration, and professional development.
Among the break out session speakers were Stephanie Lampkin, creator, Blendoor - the Blind Job Match App; Nina Tassler, former chairwoman, CBS Entertainment and author; Caroline Webb, economist, author and former partner, McKinsey; Nicole Williams, founder and CEO, WORKS, official spokesperson for LinkedIn and best-selling author; and Mallika Chopra, founder, Intent.com and author.

The 2016 Be the Change Award was awarded to the Massachusetts Equal Pay Coalition. The award recognizes an individual or organization making a substantial contribution to advance women's position in the workplace.
Carmody is the President of Chrysalis Coaching & Consulting, a certified Women Business Enterprise specializing in executive coaching, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness consulting. She serves on the Boston Chamber of Commerce Talent Development & Retention Leadership Council.
