FREMONT, Calif., April 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Exar Corporation (Nasdaq: EXAR) today announced the next-generation of Exar's BitWackr solution for Windows and Linux, offering multiple volume support, a 50% increase in I/O performance for primary storage applications and integration with the RSA key manager enabling Enterprise-level, secure storage applications.  BitWackr 2.2 provides OEMs with a powerful solution that is capable of reducing data through deduplication and lossless compression across all storage tiers, enabling efficiencies in data management, capacity, power and time.
