The eHealthcare Leadership Awards recognize the top websites, online initiatives and digital communications from a range of healthcare-oriented organizations, including hospitals, health systems, pharmaceutical firms and online health companies. Winners were selected from more than 1,100 entries across 14 award categories, and were judged by nearly 120 healthcare and digital communications experts on a proprietary multi-point standard of Internet excellence. Winners are recognized each year at the annual Greystone Healthcare Internet Conference (HCIC).
Penn Medicine was awarded the Platinum award for its Proton Therapy campaign which launched in January 2013 and focused on increasing patient/prospective patient consultation conversions for their Proton Therapy Service line. Additionally, Penn Medicine received a Gold award for its Bariatrics campaign which focused on educating patients/prospective patients about their weight loss options and Penn's bariatric surgery program.
Halifax Health was honored with a Silver Award for its Obstetrics campaign which focused on supporting new parents or patients trying to conceive by offering them new parent tools, portals, newsletters and schedule of new parenting classes.
