Euro RSCG Brings in Lars Cords as Head of German PR
DUSSELDORF, Germany, Dec. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lars-Christian Cords to become President of Euro RSCG ABC, Germany and concurrently take up the new position of Chief Campaign Officer at the Euro RSCG Germany agency group.

As of May 1, 2012 Lars Cords will replace the present CEO of Euro RSCG ABC, Wolfgang Kreuter who will stay on with the company in a leading position.
Until then Lars Cords will remain CEO at fischerAppelt, relations. Having been with the agency group for 14 years, he has had a major impact on its growth as well as its structural and content-related development. During this period he was initially responsible as team leader in Hamburg, then as head of the Düsseldorf office followed by an intermediary period in Hamburg and finally four years in Berlin.
Lars Cords customer base has included Microsoft, BASF, Henkel, the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, the German Federal Ministry of Finance, the insurer CosmosDirekt and the Association of German Transport Companies.
Following his studies as an economist, he was press officer and the campaign office head of the major 'You are Germany' ('Du bist Deutschland') media initiative for several years.
Most recently in Berlin, he has had managerial responsibility for 50 employees. In the course of this year, he has won the PR Report Award and the German Award for Online Communication with the social media dialogue portal www.amflora.de for BASF. Over the years, his work has won him the German PR Award three times, the PR Report Award twice and two Social Effies golds.
In addition to the above, he has initiated industry networks and events – each with more than 1,000 participants – such as 'Side Leaps' or the 'Political Communication Open Day' in Berlin. In North-Rhine Westphalia he started 'Page One' – a first-time event cooperation with the Society of Public Relations Agencies (GPRA) and the Federal Association of German press officers (BdP) which was still in its infancy.
Lars Cords is 42 years old and married.
