Entravision Communications Corporation's Los Angeles Radio "Jose FM" Super-Station Powers to #1 Combined Ranked Spanish-Language Station in Prime Time
Super Station Jose FM KLYY, KDLD and KDLE Simulcast to be Recognized by Nielsen on July 28
LOS ANGELES, July 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE: EVC), a diversified Spanish-language media company, today announced that the combined content simulcast of its Super-Station "Jose" KLYY FM 97.5, KDLD FM 103.1 and KDLE FM 103.1 is the #1 Ranked Spanish-language radio station in Los Angeles, in Prime Time among Latino Adults 18-49 (Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.), according to the combined June 2014 ratings reports released by Nielsen Audio. Since April 1, 2014, KDLD and KDLE have broadcast Jose KLYY content in simulcast, and Nielsen has reported rankings for these stations independently; however, beginning July 28th, Nielsen will recognize Entravision's "Jose FM" stations as KLYY-FM only; combining the three signals into one station for its radio reporting. Through the creation of this "Super-Station" and the addition of KDLD and KDLE, Jose has increased its coverage across Central Los Angeles, Orange County and the San Fernando Valley.
Entravision's Jose FM's combined content simulcast success is in part driven by its strong drive time programming and unique on-air personalities. In afternoon drive time Jose FM's Erazno y La Chokolata program is the runaway leader. Number one in five key demographics, the program leads all other Spanish-language stations in the time slot among Latino Adults 18-49, 25-54 and Latino Males 18-34, 18-49, and 25-54 (Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). Additionally, Jose FM's El Genio Lucas program is in second place in the morning drive time slot among Latino Adults 25-54 (Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.).
