Investment in Chanclazo Studios Brings Academy Award Winning Creative Team to Produce Short and Long Form 3D Animation, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Content for Hispanic Audiences
Expands Unique Marketing Opportunities for Advertisers
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE: EVC), a diversified media company serving U.S. Latinos, announced the launch of a new digital content initiative to produce and distribute unique content to its growing media platforms and provide expanded digital marketing capabilities for advertisers at their Upfront event in New York City last night. This effort will be driven through an investment in and partnership with Chanclazo Studios, Inc. ("Chanclazo"), an innovative digital production studio that creates and distributes short and long form 3D animation, virtual reality and augmented reality content for Hispanic audiences.
In conjunction with the investment, Entravision also entered into an agreement with Chanclazo to distribute content created by Chanclazo and to serve as their exclusive advertising sales representative. Entravision expects to begin distribution of Chanclazo's content on its digital platforms in October, and will also assist Chanclazo in the procurement of content distribution and syndication on third-party platforms. With access to this new and unique content, Entravision will significantly expand its embedded marketing capabilities, offering advertisers unique branded content and product placement opportunities.

The studio expects to develop new short and long form animation content, enhance its virtual reality capabilities and currently has several projects in various stages of production.
Chanclazo's creative team is led by founders Hoyt Yeatman, Frank Gallego and Oswaldo Diaz, who bring extensive expertise in digital media, visual effects, and content development management:
- Hoyt Yeatman is an Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor and director with more than 25 years of industry experience. His film credits include: G-Force, Jack the Giant Slayer, Armageddon, Con Air, The Rock, Crimson Tide, The Abyss, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Fly, Gremlins, Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom, Twilight Zone, Blade Runner, E.T, The Extra Terrestrial, and Star Trek.
