NEW YORK, Dec. 1, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Award-winning professional skin care brand Eminence Organic Skin Care, continues its commitment to giving back to the community and those in need through charitable contributions and support. In addition to their long-time pledge to plant trees for every product sold and donate organic meals to sick children, this year the brand also produced 50,000 hand sanitizers to healthcare and essential workers.
Forests for the Future
Eminence Organics is committed to planting a tree for every retail product sold through their Forests for the Future initiative. As of October 2020, over 16 million trees have been planted worldwide. The brand's Forests for the Future program helps train farmers in developing countries to build productive and sustainable Forest Gardens in rural communities, where the trees play a key role in their development. The gardens then empower local people to restore their environment, grow their own food and build a sustainable income and future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Eminence Kids Foundation
In 2013, Eminence Organics launched the Eminence Kids Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3). What started as a personal story turned into a global effort to benefit sick kids and their families by providing healthy and organic nutritional meals at participating hospitals and long-term care facilities. The Eminence Kids Foundation has now served over 117,000 meals to date. The Foundation also works to educate parents and kids about healthy foods to inspire them to make smart nutritional decisions and instill in them an understanding of the impact of food can have on overall health, well-being, and quality of life.
Support for Essential Workers during COVID-19
This year, Eminence Organics produced 50,000 government compliant hand sanitizers to donate to their team-members, hospitals, medical facilities, nonprofits, clinics, nursing facilities, homeless shelters and community organizations combating COVID-19 in Canada and the United States. The charitable initiative was made possible by using the brand's global supply chain capabilities to produce personal protective equipment in a time of need, strengthening Eminence Organic Skin Care's commitment to serve communities affected by the worldwide pandemic and support the global storage of sanitizers. In addition to the hand sanitizers, Eminence Organics also donated over 6,700 personal care products, including the Mangosteen Replenishing Hand Cream and the Monoi Age Corrective Night Cream, to provide relief for the effects of prolonged personal protective equipment use.
