NEW YORK, Aug. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Emigrant Savings Bank is pleased to announce its participation in the 28th Annual "National Night Out Against Crime" event in Queens' Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
The Queens event, one of many that took place throughout the city, was organized by the Community Council of the New York City Police Department's (NYPD's) 110th precinct. Nearly 1,000 members of the local community were in attendance.
"National Night Out Against Crime" evenings are fun-filled nights featuring various kinds of recreation and entertainment, food, education and access to information on crime prevention, domestic violence, highway safety and children's safety.
Frank Baez, manager of Emigrant Savings Bank's Elmhurst Branch, and Emigrant mortgage consultant Emily Lui, were on-hand at the August 2nd event and provided informational material on identity theft, small business funding, mortgages and other bank services. Mr. Baez and Ms. Lui also answered questions from the local community in English, Spanish and Chinese.
"Emigrant is a community bank with a long history of helping generations of Americans achieve their financial goals," said Mr. Baez. "We were proud to once again participate in an important event that brings our local community together."
