E.M. Carr Follows up 'Real Man' Billboard Slogan with Launch of Two New Books
Author to donate portion of book sales to My Hope Chest Charity
ASHBURN, Va., March 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Mascot Books announces the release and launch of two new books using the now famous "REAL MEN PROVIDE. REAL WOMEN APPRECIATE IT." billboard that sparked international attention last month. Replacing the original slogan with its new book title "REAL MEN DON'T USE COUPONS," the company is expecting a backlash from feminists groups, but welcomes the discussion and the chance for dialogue. The author, E.M. Carr, fully intends to engage in, and hopes to spark a lively debate, prior to the launch of an upcoming book tour for his two new books that will include bars, pubs, craft breweries, and even farmers markets.
As part of the marketing campaign, the company is also sponsoring a cross-country trip to distribute the books to truck stops throughout the Midwest. The book contains quips stating that "REAL MEN" don't have to ask their wives permission to buy a fishing pole, think Obamaphones should be traded in for alarm clocks, and that professional sports should allow steroids so the violence justifies the ticket price.
The new illustrated humor books are intended for a "traditional audience," and the author is donating one dollar per book sold to the MY HOPE CHEST CHARITY, a 503c charity that provides breast reconstruction surgery for uninsured and underinsured breast cancer survivors.
The books are entitled "REAL MEN DON'T USE COUPONS" and "MY HEAD, MY HEART, MY HOOHA." The first is a contemporary look at the traditional man, and the second explores the humorous side of the inner workings of the female mind using cartoons. Both books contain detailed illustrations by award-winning illustrator David Allred. More information and excerpts can be found at www.hoohabook.com and the charity at www.myhopechest.org. For more information or interviews with the author, please call the public relations manager Rhett Dawn at 434-326-7583.
The books are published by Mascot Books, and will be available in both a paperback and on Ebook through all traditional outlets.
The My Hope Chest Charity was created in 2003 by breast cancer survivor Alisa Savoretti, and is the ONLY charity in the country dedicated to providing breast reconstruction surgery to uninsured breast cancer survivors. The charity has a nationwide waiting list for the $14,000 surgery. The Charity has been listed as one of the Top rated non-profits by greatnonprofits.org and named one of the "great eight" best breast cancer charities by The Daily Worth. www.myhopechest.org
