ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- eGlobalTech (eGT), a leading provider of management and IT consulting services for the Federal Government, has been awarded a three year contract with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) to provide Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) services to the USCG Management Programs and Policy Division.
eGT is assisting with intake and closure of FOIA requests, including process coordination, handling questions and status updates requests, and working with USCG staff to ensure timely completion of each request. eGT also supports the USCG FOIA appeals process by helping to determine the validity of each appeal, assessing if proper FOIA exemptions were applied, drafting response letters and digests, and researching case law as needed.
The USCG Office of Information Management, Management Programs and Policy Division, is responsible for policy/oversight for USCG's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) program. This includes compliance with Federal and Departmental policies and fulfilling reporting requirements to Congress, the Departments of Homeland Security and Justice, the Office of Management and Budget, and the National Archives and Records Administration.
