Best Pitches Eligible to Win Start Up Cash
SAN FRANCISCO, April 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- EFactor Group Corp. (OTCQB: EFCT) ("EFactor Group Corp." or "the Company"), owner of EFactor.com, a niche social network for entrepreneurs, content aggregator and provider of key resources to entrepreneurs worldwide, today announced its next entrepreneur-focused "Pitch it in Person" event. The event will be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and hosted by renowned business commentator Maurice de Hond. In addition to the keynote presentation by Mr. de Hond, and consistent with the Pitch It in Person events held in the US, EFactor has also organized a contest that gives entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their business ideas for a chance to win €2,500 in cash to fund their current business or start up a new venture.
Taking place at the Van Doorne N.V., Auditorium on Jachthavenweg 121, in Amsterdam on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the event remains open for registration via http://www.efactor.com/pitchitinpersonnl until the start of the event. Entrepreneurs competing in the contest are encouraged to submit their Executive Summaries to EFactor via the link on the event page for consideration by Wednesday, May 14, 2014. A final group of five summaries will be selected to pitch their idea to an illustrious panel of judges including; Adrie Reinders - Co-Founder and CEO of EFactor, Arnold Breukhoven - Founder/CEO of Drimpy, Johan Frencken - Founding Partner of FirmTel, Mark Tigchelaar – Owner of MTcompany, Peter Zonneveld – CEO of Greencloud, Edo van Santen - "Pitcholoog" and Maurice de Hond. The €2,500 cash award is being sponsored by the law offices of Van Doorne, a global law firm headquartered in Amsterdam and specializing in civil-law notaries and tax law. More sponsors will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.
"We greatly enjoy hosting Pitch It in Person events for the growing number of EFactor members worldwide," began Adrie Reinders, CEO of EFactor Group. "Our now 4th Pitch It in Person event is proudly being held in the Netherlands, who led the entrepreneur-pitch, reality-TV shows with Dragon's Den. The Netherlands-produced show, which debuted in 2007, remains a very popular show today. As with all our Pitch It in Person events, we expect a great turn-out and have already registered many participants for the event. We also believe that the final round of five entrepreneurs selected for the judged review is sure to produce an excellent competition for the cash reward. Events like these provide our members with the information, skills and tools to conduct what each entrepreneur needs to grow their business. At this particular event, Maurice de Hond's expertise is sure to delight the audience with his insights and the panel of judges for our Pitch It in Person competition includes well-respected business leaders in the start-up world in the Netherlands."
EFactor's "Pitch It in Person" events are part of a series of events initiated by EFactor Group Corp. in September, 2013. The first New York event titled "Your Product Roadmap" took place on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. The second event was held in October of 2013 and was hosted by Kevin Harrington and the most recent was held in New York on April 22nd.
EFactor membership and additional registration on EFactor's event page (www.efactor.com/events) is required to access the live events and replays of past webinars.
About Maurice de Hond
Everyone in the Netherlands knows Maurice de Hond. He is a frequent guest on virtually all TV channels, sharing his insights about markets and public opinions. Maurice started his internet panel Peil.nl in 2002. Peil is all about current affairs and is a completely virtual company. Maurice publishes his results on a weekly basis, and they are often quoted in the Dutch media. 2009 heralded another change in his life - the birth of his daughter (Daphne). Inspired by her usage of educational apps on the iPhone/iPad he started a foundation in 2012 called "O4NT" (Onderwijs 4 een Nieuwe Tijd). This led to a completely new educational concept, named: the SteveJobsSchool. The first schools that worked with this concept started in 2013, gaining global media coverage in August of that year.
Currently Maurice is CEO of sCoolSuite Concepts, which delivers infrastructural tools for the schools working with the 1:1 tablet approach (each child a tablet, which can be taken home).
