Edwards & Hill Office Furniture Selected to Receive Howard County Outstanding Business Achievement Award

COLUMBIA, Md., April 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Edwards & Hill Office Furniture is proud to announce that Tony Hill, Managing Partner and Hans Edwards, Partner of  Edwards & Hill Office Furniture have been selected to receive the prestigious Howard County Economic Development Authority - Committee for Business and Economic Diversity (CBED) "Outstanding Business Achievement" award  at the 17th Annual Committee for Business and Economic Diversity Business Recognition Program, "Celebrating Business Diversity." The featured keynote speaker at the ceremony will be Dr. David Anderson. Dr. Anderson is a nationally syndicated radio talk show host, a published author of several books on diversity, founder and president of the Bridge Leader Network, and founder and senior pastor of Bridgeway Community Church. 

In its seventeenth year, this program is designed to acknowledge and pay tribute to outstanding women and minority business owners in Howard County, Maryland.  The business recognition program will be held at the Sheraton Columbia, 10207 Wincopin Circle, Columbia, Maryland, on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

A panel of distinguished judges on the Committee for Business and Economic Diversity (CBED) chose Edwards & Hill Office Furniture from many nominations across the county.  Selection was based on entrepreneurs who demonstrated outstanding achievement in entrepreneurship, client satisfaction, professional and community contributions. Through the CBED, the Howard County Economic Development Authority recognizes, encourages and promotes economic diversity and equal business opportunity for minorities, women, and individuals with disabilities.
