In 2015 major FSMA requirements were implemented, including a massive food safety overhaul and significantly increased requirements from the grower to the retailer and every party in between. Part 117, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventative Controls for Human Food (HARPC), introduces an entirely new way of thinking, such as verification of supply chain, and new terms such as Qualified Individual and Qualified Auditor.
As FSMA's tiered implementation takes effect, many questions are raised in understanding who is required to comply, by when and what specifically are the requirements for their particular business?
EAS's newest intensive compliance training seminar will provide a detailed analysis of the 21 CFR Part 117 regulation as well as a step by step breakdown of the various Subparts. Participants will enjoy an interactive learning environment with applicable real world examples of best practices and an understanding of what rules apply to their own business to meet FDA's stringent requirements.
EAS expert instructors for the course will be Senior Consultants Charles Breen (former FDA Seattle District Director), Maury Bandurraga, Ph.D., (former Food Safety and Quality Assurance Principal Scientist at Procter and Gamble and Kelloggs) and Joe Famiglietti, (former Compliance Officer at the FDA New York District, Import Operations Branch in Buffalo, NY).
