Earny Announces Expansion to Travel Price Protection with 'Earny Hotels'
This new offering is Earny's first foray into travel and offers users access to exclusive hotel rates when prices drop on existing reservations
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Earny, the consumer advocate service with a mission to make sure that every payment is price protected, today announced the launch of its new hotel price protection offering, Earny Hotels, in partnership with Priceline Partner Network (PPN).
Earny Hotels marks the company's official expansion into the travel vertical and works by notifying users when their existing hotel reservations drop in price, then offers the option to rebook at a lower rate exclusive to Earny users. Earny Hotels protects all reservations users make across a variety of hotel booking platforms.
Based on the company's insights on the current hotel landscape, the average lead time between guests booking a hotel reservation and checking in is about 42 days, during which Earny has identified major price drops. With 70% of hotel reservations being refundable, Earny Hotels' unique price tracking ability is expected to save users an average of $75 per stay, and predicts more than $1 million in potential savings for its users on day one.
