(MasterCard) announced that the Company's Board of Directors has nominated Julius Genachowski and Merit Janow for election as Independent Directors at the Company's upcoming annual meeting of stockholders on June 3, 2014. On April 22, 2014, Celanese Corporation (Celanese) released its Q1 2014 earnings results and surprised the market with better-than-expected net income and sales, sending its stock to a fresh 52-week high on bourses. The Company reported Q1 2014 net sales of $1.71 billion, up 5.5% YoY, beating Zacks consensus estimate of $1.68 billion. The Company's Q1 2014 adjusted diluted EPS came in at $1.33 versus $1.14 in Q1 2013. Analysts at Zacks expected the Company to report adjusted diluted EPS of $1.21.
