Due to Successful Launch and Expansion, SnoHub Seeks Independent Snow Removal Contractors for 2018 Winter Season
RIDGEFIELD, Conn., Jan. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to the success of its free mobile application and a multi-state expansion in 2017, SnoHub Inc. is now seeking 2,500 new independent snow removal contractors to meet the 2018 season's demands.
The free mobile application, available through download at Apple App Store and Google Play, has grown beyond Ridgefield, Connecticut, where it launched in 2016. SnoHub now serves the New York, Boston and Philadelphia metro regions, as well as Albany, Long Island, Rochester, Connecticut, Rhode Island and the surrounding areas. SnoHub is expanding rapidly and, now with more than 12,000 homeowner downloads, the start-up is encouraging independent contractors to join their fleet to make great money this season.
SnoHub is changing the traditional snow clearing industry with its simple and convenient, on-demand mobile app, making life easy for homeowners and creating thousands of new jobs. SnoHub securely handles everything for the contractor, including the technology, payment gateway and customer interface for both the supply and the demand sides.
The app uses a sophisticated, real-time interface that assembles active snow removal requests within the driver's geographic area. While browsing active jobs, it provides a net revenue estimate to guarantee transparency in pay, and, after completion, money is directly deposited into the contractor's bank account within seven business days. SnoHub has also built an intuitive location-based back end that uses geolocation technology to analyze ratios of home owners to contractors, and can track distances between jobs, optimizing route structures. Finally, SnoHub supports contractors and home owners with real staff should the need arise to help its contractors and home owners. SnoHub has developed several new technical features that will assist contractors and home owners. Upgrades for the app will be available the week of January 16th.
James Albis, SnoHub Founder and Chief Executive Officer, says, "SnoHub has opened the door for people with reliable equipment to earn extra income on their own schedule. We're aiming for a 5:1 customer to driver ratio so our contractors can make money and our customers receive a fast and reliable service." With SnoHub handing the app's infrastructure and marketing, contractors don't have to worry about building a customer base or collecting cash – they only have to keep an eye on the forecast. The app will even calculate and collect state sales taxes on behalf of the contractors. SnoHub is easy to access and navigate; Albis guarantees a new contractor can be signed up in less than 15-minutes. SnoHub takes a nominal fee from each transaction, similar to other sharing economy companies.
Rochester-based SnoHub contractor Justin Jonathan shared, "So far, so good! The SnoHub App easy and convenient! When a job pops up I simply accept it, do the work and get paid. The money goes directly into my account. I have had no problems." To sign up, all you need is a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, photos of the driver and equipment, and your bank account information to start receiving payments.
SnoHub is looking for contractors with the right equipment to clear snow, pickup, snow-plow, snow blower, shovel. Additionally, In conjunction with the expansion, SnoHub has formed an alliance agreement with Sno-Way International, the leading snow plow manufacturer in the United States, to provide a great financing package for new snow plow equipment starting from as little as $150 per month.
