Drync Hires Mobile Commerce and Marketing Experts from HubSpot, Tapjoy, Catalina
Boston-Based Wine E-Commerce App Expands to Davis Square
BOSTON, Sept. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Drync —the first free mobile app that allows users to buy nearly any wine by simply snapping a photo of the label—has hired three mobile commerce and marketing experts and expanded to state-of-the-art office space in Davis Square.
"These hires solidify our team as we focus on making it fun and easy to discover and buy great wine using your phone," said CEO Brad Rosen. "More than 40 percent of wine sales occur in Q4 each year, and we have an incredible lineup of new features coming in time for the holidays."
Joining Drync are:
Seth Rosen, VP Product: Rosen (no relation to Brad) joins Drync from Catalina, where he managed mobile commerce products for major national brands, driving more than $1 billion in annual CPG retail sales. Prior to that, Rosen handled product management at Living Social and co-founded BuyWithMe, which was acquired by the Gilt Groupe.
Amy Ullman, Marketing Manager: Ullman, a Certified Sommelier and Certified Specialist of Wine, is overseeing all inbound and digital marketing for Drync. She joins Drync from HubSpot, a Cambridge-based inbound marketing software company, where she worked in client services.
Matt McMillan, Creative Director: McMillan joins Drync from Tapjoy, the San-Francisco-based mobile app advertising, monetization and analytics company. He oversaw design and UX of consumer and ad products used by more than 450 million mobile users a month. Prior to that he was the creative director at digital consumer goods provider Viximo, based in Cambridge.
