What Attendees Will Learn:
Three of the foremost experts in DNS security and DNSSEC implementations will share information, practical advice and best practices with attendees of this morning seminar. The presentations and Q&A session will provide IT professionals at federal agencies with successful strategies for achieving compliance with the federal mandates to increase the security of their IT networks.
OMB mandate M-08-23 required all federal agencies to deploy DNSSEC on their external domains by December 2009, and FISMA extends this requirement to include DNSSEC deployment on internal networks, yet most agencies are either unaware of these requirements, or struggle with DNSSEC deployment complexity.
Attendees will learn about the following:
- What are the requirements and deadlines for each phase of DNSSEC deployment?
- What are the FISMA requirements that go beyond the basic DNSSEC mandate?
- When might you be audited for compliance and what do you need to do to pass that audit?
- How should organizations plan for implementations to meet both sets of requirements?
- What are the most common challenges that organizations encounter in DNSSEC/FISMA implementations, and how can you overcome them?
- What are the fastest, easiest ways to meet these requirements?
- What are the lessons and best practices from other agencies' successful DNSSEC deployments?
