ATLANTA, Oct. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Georgia-Pacific's Dixie® To Go cups are now as stylish as they are sturdy with new, limited-edition cup designs inspired by Lifetime's® Project Runway® Season 16 contestant Brandon Kee. The brand partnered with Project Runway® to create a unique challenge during the October 5 episode, as contestants competed to create the latest style for Dixie® To Go cups inspired from their fashion designs. The unique cup design was revealed during the October 12 episode.
Kee, 24, of San Francisco, California, was awarded the opportunity to partner with the Dixie® brand on a capsule collection of new cup designs, inspired by his original fabric design created during the October 5 episode. Kee's trendy look featured a geometrical pattern with an infusion of pink. The Project Runway® limited-edition cup collection, perfect for the on-the-go style-savvy coffee drinker, is now available for purchase online and will roll out to in-store retailers later this month.
"Our Dixie® To Go cups, with new designs inspired by Project Runway® contestant Brandon Kee, are this season's perfect accessory for coffee drinkers on-the-go who are looking to add a touch of style to their day," said Teresa Bossong, brand building leader for Dixie®. "We loved Brandon's pattern so much that we created a variety pack containing three coordinated designs that can accessorize a variety of outfits, while maintaining the cup's sturdiness. These cups are perfect for any occasion—from walking the runway to walking to work, or anywhere your busy day may take you."
The new limited-edition collection of Dixie® To Go cups can be purchased in a variety pack containing three different designs, with inspiration from elements used in Kee's runway look. In addition to Brandon's diamond pattern in "millennial pink," cup design variations include different shapes and feature the colors "cobalt" and "steel blue." Dixie® To Go will continue to roll out new stylish cup designs through the year. More information on the new Dixie® To Go cup designs can be found by visiting the website or Dixie® social media channels including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
"This was a really fun and unique challenge to be a part of and it's something I've never done before," said Kee. "I love being able to see the inspiration from my runway look transformed into a Dixie® To Go cup design. I'm excited that not only was my design able to walk the runway and catch the eye of the judges, but it will now be in the hands of stylish, on-the-go coffee drinkers everywhere."
Kee, who has been a clothing designer for five years, began his career after receiving his Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design at The Academy of Arts in San Francisco.
