Direct Response Pioneer TeleBrands Captures Best Pro Bono Ad Moxie Award At 2017 Electronic Retailing Association D2C Convention
FAIRFIELD, N.J., Oct. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- TeleBrands, the largest marketer of "As Seen on TV" products and a pioneer in the direct response television industry, has received the 2017 Moxie Award for Best Pro Bono Ad for The Arc at the annual Moxie Awards at the recent Electronic Retailing Association 2017 D2C Convention.
TeleBrands and BulbHead.com CEO & Founder AJ Khubani launched the pro bono funding campaign for The Arc, a national foundation that offers residential, educational, and vocational support to people with disabilities. The Arc has more than 700 chapters nationwide. Khubani is on the Board of Directors of the Bergen County, NJ chapter.
In 2015, Khubani initiated his work for The Arc after noticing The Arc needed more financial assistance than it was getting from the government. He reached out to longtime associate and consummate pitchman and infomercial producer, Anthony "Sully" Sullivan, to develop advertising for the campaign.
Sullivan shot the ad himself over an 18-month-period at different Arc chapters. The spot features individuals who receive assistance from The Arc highlighting its importance to them and their families.

The ad asks callers to sign up for a monthly $19 Arc donation and includes their BulbHead.com Atomic Beam Lantern branded with The Arc's logo as a signing gift. TeleBrands/BulbHead.com contributed the lanterns and initial outlay for airtime.
