DGital Media Expands National Sales Team With Two Senior Ad Industry Hires
Suzanne Kaufman and Christine Fontana Join as SVPs
NEW YORK, Dec. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DGital Media, an audio engagement company that produces, distributes and monetizes audio products, announced two new senior advertising industry hires to expand its management team. Both will take on the role of Senior Vice President/Account Manager.
Suzanne Kaufman was a founding partner of MEC, the world's largest media agency, leading some of the most challenging assignments, domestically and globally including AT&T, Campbell Soup Co, Energizer Holdings, Activision, Ikea and Pfizer Consumer Products
Christine Fontana has been SVP, Director at MediaVest for the past 17 years working with national brands such as P&G, Coca-Cola, Walmart and Wendy's.
Kaufman and Fontana will be responsible for developing and managing client relations as well as creating custom brand solutions within DGital's various audio platforms.
Says David Landau, DGital Media Co-founder, "We couldn't be more excited to have these two incredible talents join our management team. Sue and Chris are among the industry's most knowledgeable media experts, passionate about audio and the potential of new channels to deliver advertising. We cannot wait to work with them to bring DGital to the next level in terms of brand involvement."
Sue led the separation of media from creative agencies in the mid-1990s and then, 20 years later, she became concerned that the forced separation of the media and creative processes hindered the ability to create truly engaging programs. To that end, Sue took on the additional role of Director of Channel Planning at sister company Young & Rubicam where she focused on the importance of matching each message with the channel that would most likely result in the desired behavior. She began consulting in 2014 to continue the effort of channel and message integration.
Says Sue, who believes that audio has a tremendous ability to create brand affinity and foster strong brand loyalty: "DGital offerings are the next great advertising frontier, and I am excited to show brands how to tap into the unrealized potential of audio."
Chris is a proven advocate for the audio industry; promoting the power and effectiveness of radio as well as being one of the earliest adopters in the streaming and digital audio marketplace. As a key industry thought leader and expert in audio advertising, Christine is regularly asked for her insight and expertise.
Says Chris, "I am thrilled to be joining David Landau, Spencer Brown and the entire DGital team. This is an exciting time for audio's digital growth and I am happy to be pioneering this new frontier of podcasting sponsorship and native content creation. I am looking forward to partnering with marketers and connecting their brands with relevant influencers that will allow them to tell their story and bring their brand to life in a distinctive environment."
