Designer Richie Catilus Retains TransMedia Group to Publicize 'Embrace Change' Concept Embodied In His Fashions In Support Of The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Richie Catilus has threaded TransMedia Group's Public Relations into his future as the PR firm plans to promote his brand of clothing along with his company, Change Catalyst.
TransMedia Group said it will expand on Catilus designs as a proponent of positive change, and use Catilus's own story of how he embraced change himself by switching studying filmmaking to fashion designing.
TransMedia publicity will highlight Catilus' belief that change, according to the fashion designer "is something we all say we want, but how many of us actually go out there and do it."
TransMedia also will focus on Catilus' designs and shirts he has sought to make fashionable, while encouraging the idea of change. This idea is portrayed in the design of course, but also in the story of Catilus himself," said Nicholas Messina, Publicity Assistant at TransMedia. "Change should be for the good and should make things better just as a leader strives or should strive to promote changes that will improve peoples' lives."
TransMedia's strategy will focus on what benefits will be gained from the sales of shirts Catilus designs as well as from shirts he donates at charitable events.
"I definitely want to raise money for MS" said Catilus, whose main goal is to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis Foundation's many programs for people living with MS, of which he is one.
Change Catalyst has already jumped into charity event giving by donating his designer polo shirts at such events as the recent Annual #Par4Cause Multiple Sclerosis Foundation Golf Tournament.
Catilus always knew he was going to do something to promote healthful changes in lifestyle by virtue of last name. "I knew I was going to use my last name for something, and knowing what it meant gave me the idea to promote changes that will make life easier."
TransMedia will present Change Catalyst as a company that is different than other clothing companies, as it will truly live up to his name, said Messina.
