Demandforce and Henry Schein Team Up to Offer Dental Practices a New Way to Automate Time-Consuming Appointment Confirmations
New solution is the first and only third-party application authorized to update patient appointment status from email and text message reminders
SAN FRANCISCO, June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Demandforce, Inc., a leading provider of patient communications software, and Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC), the largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, medical and veterinary practitioners, announced today the launch of a new enhancement to Demandforce's D3 marketing application that automatically confirms patient appointments maintained in Henry Schein's Dentrix practice management system. The new enhancement updates patient appointment confirmation status maintained in the Dentrix system with the patient's email or text message response to appointment reminders sent automatically from the Demandforce D3 service. Henry Schein is the exclusive distributor of Demandforce D3 to office-based dental practitioners in North America.
The new Demandforce D3 software feature streamlines practice efficiency, reduces patient no-shows and practice call volume, as well as the costs associated with postcard reminders. It also reduces the number of missed appointments, helping to maximize revenue generation. The integration of the new Demandforce D3 feature with the industry-leading Dentrix system represents the first and only time a third-party application has provided interoperability with the Dentrix system to update the status of patient confirmations.
"This was one of our most requested features," said Rick Berry, President of Demandforce. "This upgrade enhances the functionality of both the Demandforce and Dentrix systems to improve dental office practice efficiency, as well as profitability. Thousands of our joint customers will benefit from this integration."
"Demandforce D3's ability to share data will reduce the workload of front office staff, ensure timely and accurate data entry, and accelerate workflow so front office teams can focus on patient satisfaction," Berry added.
"The goal of Dentrix is to continually improve the efficiency of a dental practice so the dental practitioner can focus on providing the best quality care to patients," said Steve Roberts, President of Practice Technology Solutions, Henry Schein. "The enhancement of the Demandforce D3 marketing application improves on an already efficient system. As the exclusive distributor of Demandforce D3, we are confident that it will be of great value to our customers, helping to reduce administrative overhead and revenue losses resulting from missed appointments."
"We have used both Dentrix and Demandforce for a number of years, and our staff is thrilled with this new feature," said Dr. Jeffrey C. Barrera. "It makes it so easy for us to get the most out of our investment, while giving us more time to connect with patients as they walk in the door."
