In 2015, Demandbase grew revenue by 80 percent, added nearly 100 employees, raised $30 million in funding, acquired WhoToo, a data-services company, and expanded locations in the U.S. and Europe. Key to the company's success is the culture, which is built on a foundation of four core values: people and community, innovation, customer success and execution. The company places a priority on hiring top talent while investing in a strong culture as part of its strategy to extend its competitive advantage in the marketing technology landscape. Employees highlight Demandbase as being innovative, passionate, collaborative, transparent and flexible – truly a best place to work.
"Everyone wants a job and company they love," said Glassdoor co-founder and CEO Robert Hohman. "At Glassdoor, we're working to make that a reality for the millions of job seekers around the world who are turning to Glassdoor for information they can't find anywhere else. Programs like the Employees' Choice Awards allow us to honor employers that stand out for their efforts in providing an enjoyable work environment and culture."
Demandbase offers a superior benefits plan with 100 percent of insurance premiums paid for by the company for all employees, dependents and domestic partners. Perks also include a 401k, wellness programs and a flexible vacation policy. Team building activities center around philanthropic activities with Bay Area and national organizations including The Red Cross, Adopt-a-Family, Girls Rising, BUILD and Stop Hunger Now. In 2015 alone, Demandbase employees made nearly 20,000 packaged lunches for the Stop Hunger Now organization, which provides meals to developing countries.
The Best Places to Work are determined using company reviews shared by U.S.-based employees between November 3, 2014 and November 1, 2015. To be considered for the SMB category, a company must have less than 1,000 employees and have received at least 25 company reviews from U.S.-based employees during the window of eligibility. The final list is compiled based on Glassdoor's proprietary algorithm, and takes into account quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.
