Deltas's breadth of products, which include monitoring and control instruments, variable frequency drives (VFDs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human machine interfaces (HMIs) and more, presented at WEFTEC 2017 are:
Vector Control Drives for Water Quality Pump Applications
Delta's CP2000 Series Control Drive utilizes intelligent PID control to provide maximum energy efficiency and offers a superior power range as compared to competitors, spanning 1HP all the way to 840 HP. This top-of-the-line drive uses derating to achieve single phase to three-phase conversion for remote pump motors, and allows for a wide range of input voltages, including 230 VAC, 480 VAC, and 600/690 VAC (-15 percent, +10 percent). The Sensorless Vector Control built into the series offers timely response to load torque increase/decrease that satisfies customer requirements for load changes to enhance motor application performance. These features plus a full-text LCD programmable keypad and expanded IO capabilities, enable the CP2000 to bring increased functionality to the full range of water quality pump and fan applications.
For compact applications, Delta's Standard Compact Drive MS300 Series is among the smallest drives in the industry, ranging from fractional HP up to 30 HP within 115 VAC, 230 VAC and 480 VAC. Features include built-in PLC with 5000 steps, Electromagnetic Compatibility Filter, Integrated Safe-Torque-Off, Built-in USB port, 5-digit LCD keypad with shuttle dial, spring terminals for Input/Output, energy savings mode and application-based parameter grouping.
Both the MS300 Compact Drive and CP2000 Fan & Pump Drive are able to support the industry's most popular communications protocols. At its booth, Delta will demonstrate its drive technology being utilized with an active front end, AFE2000, a competitive alternative for reducing harmonic distortion as compared to the 18 pulse VFD.
PLCs for Superior Connectivity and Performance
At the show, Delta will also have on display its AH500 and AS300 PLCs, capable of accommodating the full range of process control applications.
The AH500 series is a high performance Mid-range Hot Swappable PLC platform designed to support a variety of complex processing and precise control applications. This feature-rich PLC provides a variety of IO modules and boasts an adaptable system structure to accommodate a variety of system integration requirements. Equipped with built-in EtherNet/IP, up to 4000+ analog IO points, and 125,000 digital IO points, these PLCs can easily support programs up to a 1.5MB capacity. The CPUs are supported on hot-swappable rack-based backplanes for maximum flexibility and implementation of an advanced CPU allows for EtherNet/IP scanner configuration.
The AS300 Compact Modular Mid-range PLC series is a high-performance, multi-purpose controller designed for a diverse range of automation equipment. It features Delta's self-developed 32-bit System-on-a-Chip (SoC) design for enhanced speed at 40k steps/ms and supports up to 32 extension modules, or up to 1,024 outputs, without sacrificing performance. It also comes equipped with a built-in Ethernet port with EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP communication & OPC server connectivity, SMTP email server connectivity for alarm notification, and direct database connectivity via eServer tool that creates a complete solution when combined with a Delta HMI.
HMIs for Fast Communication and Convenient Control
Delta's HMI products are ideal for quickly communicating between and controlling a diverse range of machines, systems, and facilities. Delta's HMI series are available in a wide range of designs that feature 65,535-colors, screen sizes ranging from 4.3" to 15", and full CE and UL safety approvals. Advanced features include LED black lights, slim dimensions, built-in speakers, models with on-board IO configuration, fast processing, and compatibility with major third-party controller brands. No matter the application, Delta can provide an efficient and competitive solution that will meet customer needs for a wide range of applications.
DIA Cloud Platform Solution for Remote Monitoring, Maintenance and Data Collection
Delta's DIA cloud-based platform enables devices to securely communicate as if they are on the same network. Each user can connect and see device status online or through Delta's DIA Cloud phone app. Enabling hardware products can easily connect legacy and standard non-Delta devices to the platform. Monitoring is simplified with SMS and email alarms, and Delta's worldwide server network eases connectivity. Delta's patented technology for authentication, authorization, and data encryption ensures that the device is secure end-to-end. Pairing the platform with a cellular modem is an ideal strategy for connecting a remote pump station to the cloud and will be demonstrated at the booth.
Control Instruments for Precision Measurement
Delta will also have a range of other control instruments on display, including its Power Meter DPM Series, which offers precise measurement of various electrical energy values and power quality meeting Class 0.5S accuracy of IEC62053 & CNS14607 standards; DTB series thermocouple-type and resistor-type advanced temperature controllers, capable of executing heating and cooling controls simultaneously in a temperature control system and quickly reaching target temperature; and CTA series 3-in-1 Timer/Counter/Tachometer, which is able to receive external input signals and calculate the times of events, frequencies and driving speeds to inform batch counting, total counting, length measurement, position control, and rotation speed, among other functions.
