Deloitte Takes Relationship Recruiting to a New Level
Integrated Social Media Recruiting Campaign Enables Potential Recruits to "Get to Know" Deloitte's Culture through the Eyes of Its People
NEW YORK, Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte has launched an innovative recruiting campaign aimed at showcasing the organization's culture and people to attract the next wave of high-potential talent. "It's your future. How far will you take it?" is the theme of the new campaign. It integrates several interactive social media channels, including a new recruiting micro-site and Twitter feed that feature profiles of Deloitte employees and offer potential recruits a glimpse of what it is like to pursue a career with Deloitte.
"Our goal is to offer recruits the most in-depth look at our organization to help them decide if Deloitte is truly the place for them," said Diane Borhani, Deloitte's U.S. Campus Recruiting leader. "New hires tell us that our people are the greatest draw to Deloitte. Using these new social media channels, we are bringing our people and potential recruits closer to one another, enabling a more direct relationship that positively impacts our recruiting efforts."
To directly connect potential recruits with its employees, Deloitte has developed a series of integrated groups, channels and digital media tools as part of its campaign:
- A new recruiting micro-site, www.deloitte.com/yourfuture, provides visitors with a close look into the lives of the organization's Gen Y employees, both inside and outside of work. The site offers a series of individual profiles and short films that showcase what it is like to work in Deloitte's different practice areas and spotlights the myriad of personal and professional pursuits -- including hobbies, community activities, favorite music and TV shows -- of its youngest employees.
- A Twitter feed, "Life at Deloitte", provides daily tweets from a different business leader each week on day-to-day life inside and outside of Deloitte. Followers can track what is top-of-mind for senior professionals from each of Deloitte's practice areas and gain a better sense of the issues, new developments and topics that the organization's leaders focus on.
- An integrated Facebook page, "Your Future at Deloitte (U.S.)", is a go-to source for the latest information on initiatives and developments underway at Deloitte. The page provides a holistic look at Deloitte's culture through event photos, videos and interactive message boards and allows potential recruits to join in the discussion. Deloitte's campus-focused LinkedIn group enables students to connect with Deloitte professionals and recruiters to learn about Deloitte careers and culture, professional practice areas and recruiting events.
- A "Your Future at Deloitte" YouTube Channel offers individual video testimonies from employees on why they chose to work at Deloitte and what the organization means to them. Videos follow Deloitte employees in their day-to-day roles, from working onsite at a technology client to participating in a sustainability project.
Deloitte was recently ranked No. 1 on Bloomberg BusinessWeek's 2009 "Best Places to Intern" and "Best Places to Launch a Career" lists, and has also been named to Working Mother's "Top 10 Companies for Working Mothers" and "Best Companies for Multicultural Women," the DiversityInc "Top 50 Companies for Diversity" and FORTUNE's "100 Best Companies to Work For" lists, among other notable distinctions. This year, Deloitte plans to make approximately 4,800 new hires for full-time employment and internship positions across its U.S. offices.
