SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Jan. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, more than 50 community-minded friends of the environment descended upon Trail 1 at San Onofre State Beach to rid the area of garbage. The enthusiastic group picked up more than 190lbs of trash, including plastic, Styrofoam, abandoned lobster cages, steel rods and wood pallets. According to Cryssie Brommer, state park interpreter, the previous record for a beach cleanup was 80lbs. DealerSocket is excited to have set a new record.
