DCT Industrial Trust® Leases 156,000 Square Feet in Northern California
BUD PHARRIS JOINS DCT INDUSTRIAL TRUST® AS VICE PRESIDENT, REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
DENVER, March 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- DCT Industrial Trust Inc. ® (NYSE: DCT), a leading industrial real estate company, today announced a 156,000 square foot lease in Stockton, California with Weber Logistics, LLC, a leading third party logistics and supply chain management provider.
As a growing company, Weber's current facility in the Stockton area was no longer able to meet the company's needs. DCT's Northern California team was able to solve Weber's current and future needs for a quality bulk distribution facility and meet the company's need to expand quickly. The state-of-the-art, 351,000 square foot building located at 4727 Fite Court was completed in 2003 and features a 28-foot clear height, an ESFR sprinkler system and a 193-foot secured truck court. Weber will be using the building as a regional distribution facility and does have an option to expand.
"From commencement of the leasing process to tenant move in, DCT Industrial was able to accommodate Weber's strict time restraints, which made us the ideal solution for Weber," said Bud Pharris, Vice President, Regional Director for DCT Industrial. "Having worked with other major third party logistic companies in the past, I was happy to develop another relationship with this customer and provide them with the exceptional customer service DCT Industrial provides."
David Hasbrouck and John McManus of Cushman & Wakefield, Los Angeles represented Weber Logistics, LLC and Greg O'Leary and Mike Goldstein of Colliers International, Stockton represented DCT Industrial.
Bud Pharris, who served as point of contact on the Weber Logistics LLC lease, joined DCT Industrial in February 2011 as Vice President, Regional Director for Northern California. In his role, Bud is responsible for overseeing leasing and capital deployment activities in the Northern California market in which DCT Industrial owns or manages 25 buildings totaling almost 3.0 million square feet.
Bud has 20 years of real estate experience, including most recently as Senior Development Manager with a leading real estate development company. In this role he was responsible for the development of over 6.5 million square feet comprised of 24 different projects. In addition to his ground-up development experience, Bud's prior responsibilities included the acquisition, leasing and disposition of real property and industrial assets.
