BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DCR Workforce, a leading provider of Vendor Management System (VMS) and Managed Services Provider (MSP) solutions, reaffirmed and extended its commitment to engaging with veterans.
Four years ago, DCR collaborated with its clients to establish a program to increase veteran engagement. As of June 2014, DCR has added more than 1,500 veterans to its clients' workforce programs.
With the recent launch of Smart Track xCHANGE, an innovative collaborative community dedicated to matching the best talent with value added suppliers, DCR has increased its push to place more veterans in Scientific, Technical, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) positions. As members of Smart Track xCHANGE, veterans will have access to more opportunities with clients, and will increase their visibility to recruiters and potential employers.
Over the next few months, DCR's veteran outreach program will include special training and mentor sessions on the use of Smart Track xCHANGE.
DCR is equally committed to increasing the number of veterans within its staff employees. Today, 6% of DCR's permanent employees have military experience. The company's goal is to increase that number to more than 15% within two years.
DCR has appointed Jeremy Linkletter to ensure the success of its veterans program. As a non-commissioned officer stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Jeremy provided both Administrative and Electric Technician services to 7th Communications battalion.
"All of us owe a great deal to our veterans, and we all share an obligation to assist them when they return to civilian life. We want to thank our clients who have worked with us to establish the DCR veterans program and who have provided great job opportunities," remarked Ammu Warrier, DCR co-founder and President. "Our veteran hiring program has proven to be a 'win-win' for veterans and the companies who employ them. We believe that Smart Track xCHANGE will help us to take this program to the next level."
