"Datapipe is honored to be selected for this award," said Robb Allen, CEO of Datapipe. "We have a longstanding relationship with HP and they're one of our preferred technology partners. We look forward to continuing to work with HP to provide the best solutions to meet our customers' needs."
"To manage the changing demands of their customers, organizations have to accelerate time to market and time to business value," said Duncan Campbell, vice president, Converged Infrastructure, HP. "HP, with partners like Datapipe, helps break down rigid IT silos with infrastructure specifically engineered to drive out cost and provide the foundation for agile service delivery."
Datapipe received this award as a result of its work with a client that was looking for a solution that could offer commercial flexibility, agility and scalability as well as the global reach, security and compliance that its enterprise clients required. Datapipe worked with the client to implement a hybrid solution deploying dedicated machines, community and private cloud infrastructure. Datapipe deployed this solution using HP Converged Infrastructure technologies with Datapipe's Stratosphere Enterprise Private Cloud Platform.
Datapipe's Disaster Recovery (DR) design meant that the client did not need a second, largely redundant DR site in close proximity to its production infrastructure. Instead, the client was able to maximize its investment in a second location by deploying DR infrastructure into Asia. With the potential to use the Asia and San Jose, Calif. sites as active-active-nodes, latency and application response times were reduced. This greatly enhanced the customer experience for clients in different geographies by directing traffic to the nearest, or least busy available infrastructure. Future active nodes can be added seamlessly.
"We were excited to be able to offer our client the ability to expand to multiple locations worldwide and take advantage of a unified platform for a consistent, stable solution," said Allen. "The stability of HP hardware and the reliability of Datapipe managed services enabled a highly successful solution."
