CyberSaint to Speak at 2018 NIST Risk Management Conference
BOSTON, Oct. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- CyberSaint Security CEO and founder George Wrenn has been selected as a featured panelist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Cybersecurity Risk Management conference. The goal of the conference, to be held November 7-9, 2018 in Baltimore, Maryland, is to enable collaboration between leading industry and government representatives and to share cybersecurity knowledge. Discussions will focus on implementing cybersecurity risk management best practices and trends. Speakers will give their perspectives on the relevant issues surrounding data privacy and protection as well.
CyberSaint will join key representatives from NIST, Symantec, federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Commerce, entities such as the National Institute of Health, MITRE, Raytheon, Leidos, AT&T and others at the event.
He will be speaking alongside Ken Durbin, CISSP Senior Strategist of Global Government Affairs & Cybersecurity at Symantec, and Michael Fagan, PhD, from NIST's National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence and Trusted Identities Group among others. Moderating the panel will be Karen Scarfone who is well known for her work on the NIST 800 series.
The panel topic will cover the risk presented by the evolving Internet of Things (IoT), including managing evolving IoT risks, potential pitfalls security leaders could face, Digital Risk Management, and assessing IoT assets using frameworks such as NIST's recently drafted IoT framework. CyberSaint also will touch on its CyberSaint's CyberStrong platform and explain how it helps organizations easily implement Digital Risk Management best practices, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, as well as emerging IoT frameworks.
NIST will bring together topics from past workshops and newer perspectives during this three-day summit. It is a continuation of the annual Cybersecurity Framework Workshops, in which CyberSaint participated during the development and review of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF). The subjects of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Supply Chain Risk Management will also be covered.
