LIVERMORE, Calif., March 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Cupcake Vineyards® announces its support for No Kid Hungry®, a campaign of Share Our Strength®, in an effort to connect children in America to the nutritious food they need, every day. From now through June 2015, at restaurant locations across the country, Cupcake Vineyards will donate $1 for each mobile visit to a dedicated microsite to support No Kid Hungry's important mission.
"We love delivering small moments of joy to consumers with Cupcake Vineyards. By joining with No Kid Hungry and the movement to stop childhood hunger in America, we're delivering something much bigger – much-needed resources for the 1 in 5 kids living in households struggling to put food on the table," says Jessica Tomei, winemaker for Cupcake Vineyards. "Our promotion is just one way we can support No Kid Hungry and we're proud to be part of such a worthy cause."
Marketing collateral in restaurants will encourage patrons and employees to visit http://cupcake.nokidhungry.org via their mobile devices. For every visit to the site, Cupcake Vineyards will donate $1 to No Kid Hungry, up to the donation goal of $75,000. All participants must be 21 years or older and no purchase of wine is necessary.
"Everyone—private citizens, businesses, policymakers, and nonprofits—has a role in helping end childhood hunger in America," said Share Our Strength Founder and CEO Billy Shore. "Partners like Cupcake Vineyards are the cornerstone of Team No Kid Hungry. They are creative and inspiring – and we can't end hunger without them."
In addition to marketing collateral in restaurants, the campaign will be supported on Cupcake Vineyards' social media platforms with geo-targeted posts. For more information about No Kid Hungry, visit www.nokidhungry.org.
