TORONTO, Jan. 27, 2014 /CNW/ - CTV announced today its broadcast plans, sponsor details, and associated programming for the biggest annual television event in North America, the SUPER BOWL. CTV culminates its broadcast of the 2013-14 NFL season with exclusive Canadian coverage of SUPER BOWL XLVIII featuring the AFC Champion Denver Broncos taking on the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Feb. 2 (coverage begins at 12 noon ET). For the second year in a row, CTV will also offer live streaming of the game in Canada on CTV.ca.
CTV's extensive live coverage of SUPER BOWL XLVIII from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. airs live nationally on Sunday, Feb. 2 beginning at 12 noon ET, with six-and-a-half consecutive hours of pre-game programming (see below for details; visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times).
In addition, RDS has live French-language coverage of SUPER BOWL XLVIII beginning at 5 p.m. ET. Radio coverage is also available on TSN Radio stations across the country and nationally online at TSN.ca/Radio.
Last year's SUPER BOWL broadcast on CTV and RDS was the most-watched broadcast of the year in Canada with a combined television audience of 7.38 million viewers.

Broadcast Team
The SUPER BOWL XLVIII broadcast team is led by NFL on FOX play-by-play Joe Buck, who is calling his fourth SUPER BOWL alongside analyst and Pro Football Hall of Famer Troy Aikman. Joining them are sideline reporters Pam Oliver, Erin Andrews, and rules analyst Mike Pereira, who will be in the booth to offer insight into controversial plays and penalties.
During halftime, the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show, features Grammy® Award winner Bruno Mars performing with the legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers.
TSN at SUPER BOWL XLVIII
TSN sets up the NFL's grandest stage on SPORTSCENTRE, Canada's #1 sports news and information show. Beginning today and continuing through to SUPER BOWL Sunday, SPORTSCENTRE will feature daily reports from Rod Smith, analysts Chris Schultz and Jesse Palmer, and reporter Farhan Lalji, who are all in East Rutherford.
All this week, SPORTSCENTRE will also feature SUPER BOWL-themed Top 10 countdowns and a series of SUPER BOWL essays written and narrated by the National Post's Bruce Arthur.
Also on site at SUPER BOWL XLVIII are TSN Radio 1050 Toronto host Dave Naylor, as well as TSN Radio 1290 Winnipeg hosts Gary Lawless and Andrew 'Hustler' Paterson and TEAM 1040 host Bob "The Moj" Marjanovich. Beginning Wednesday, TSN DRIVE WITH DAVE NAYLOR on TSN 1050, HUSTLER AND LAWLESS on TSN 1290, and BOB "THE MOJ" MARJANOVICH on TEAM 1040, will each be broadcast live from Radio Row.

Reporters Ed Werder, Sal Paolantonio, and Josina Anderson will also contribute live updates.
