WINTER PARK, Fla., Jan. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Reflecting the school's mission to provide innovative, global, and responsible business education to experienced executives across Central Florida and beyond, the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College will launch a significantly updated version of its Executive MBA Program this fall.
"The Crummer Executive MBA Program is already well known for its excellence in Central Florida," said Dr. Deborah Crown, dean of the Crummer Graduate School of Business. "In revising this premier offering, we saw an opportunity to provide a more global, immersive, and experienced-based program that was designed to enable greater accessibility for busy executives."
With courses meeting one weekend a month (Friday-Sunday) for the duration of the 20-month program, participating in the program will be more feasible for busy executives and long-distance commuters. The school will also streamline the student experience by providing concierge services such as book delivery, meals and snacks, and lodging coordination at the award-winning Alfond Inn in Winter Park.
The program's core courses have been revised and sequenced for optimal cohesion and emphasis. Visit the website to view the list of courses and program overview.
In addition to a strengthened focus on curricular cohesion, the redesigned program places greater emphasis on global business and leadership, offering additional content throughout the curriculum, as well as two week-long global immersion experiences designed to provide a high-level view of business in foreign markets. The international on-site immersion experiences will incorporate relevant topics such as negotiation, data analytics, social entrepreneurship, design, project management, and other student-initiated topics.
"Our goal is to provide a quality education to executives at the highest levels of business," said Dr. Jim Johnson, Faculty Director of the Crummer Executive MBA Program. "Along with a great deal of research and consultation with members of the business community, feedback from faculty, staff, current executives and alumni has been integral to re-envisioning and optimizing the Executive MBA curriculum."
Throughout the program, executives will have numerous opportunities to hear from expert guest speakers and visit successful organizations. Plus, students will participate in one or more domestic residencies that focus on current business issues.
The Executive MBA Program is a cornerstone of Crummer's suite of premier executive offerings, along with Florida's first Executive Doctorate of Business Administration Program, and the continuing education and custom program offerings of the Center for Management and Executive Education.
