Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts Introduces The Always On Charity Challenge At The 2015 Crowne Plaza Invitational At Colonial
Fans can vote for their favorite pro golfers to benefit charities and receive a chance to win 90,000 IHG® Rewards Club points
FORT WORTH, Texas, May 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts today introduces the Always On Charity Challenge at the 2015 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. The Challenge is a new social media promotion that provides fans with the opportunity to show support for their favorite pro golfer during the tournament while simultaneously benefitting charity.
The Always On Charity Challenge invites fans from across the country to vote via Facebook and Twitter from May 18-24, 2015 for their favorite golfer, from a list of nine, using unique hashtags found at alwaysoncharitychallenge.com, with the standings updated daily. The participating golfers are Hunter Mahan, Boo Weekley, Scott Stallings, Kevin Streelman, Ryan Palmer, J.J. Henry, Erik Compton, Jimmy Walker, and Graham DeLaet.
As the longest tenured title sponsor of the Invitational, the Crowne Plaza brand is proud to be a contributor to the $52 million raised for charity through Colonial over the course of this partnership.

The Crowne Plaza brand will donate $90,000 --- $10,000 for each year of Crowne Plaza's title sponsorship of the Invitational --- to the Birdies for Charity program in the name of the golfer with the most votes. The winning golfer will also receive an additional $10,000 from the Crowne Plaza brand to put towards a charity of his choice. Nine fans who vote in the Challenge will also have a chance to be selected to receive 90,000 IHG® Reward Club points each.
