PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Dec. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Crossmatch™, a leading provider of livescan, mobile and identity management solutions, today announced that Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council (MCHC) member hospitals have submitted over 120,000 new hire fingerprint-based background checks via the Crossmatch livescan solution. The ability to submit new hire fingerprints onsite and automatically send these prints through MCHC's server to the Illinois State Police database saves time and money.
The Illinois Health Care Worker Background Check Act requires unlicensed health care workers to submit to a fingerprint-based criminal history check. MCHC, an organization with over 150 healthcare members in the Chicago area, provides a processing service with respect to new hire fingerprint-based background checks. Prior to having the Crossmatch solution onsite, it often took a week for hospitals to receive the results.
