Corporate Whistleblower Center Now Urges a Physician to Call Them Anytime About Rewards If They Can Prove a Drug Company is Bribing Doctors to Over Prescribe Their Drug Products
WASHINGTON, Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "We are urging a medical doctor or a physician practice group manager to call us anytime at 866-714-6466 if you can prove a pharmaceutical company is bribing doctors with almost any imaginable incentive to over prescribe their drug products. If you possess the who, what, where and when it comes to a drug company paying off physicians we would be very eager to talk to you about what could be very significant rewards. In a very recent example a whistleblower received $1.2 million dollars for this exact type of information as we would like to discuss." http://CorporateWhistleblower.Com
In September 2017, the Department of Justice announced a $7.55 million dollar-False Claim Act settlement with a drug maker to resolve allegations that it paid kickbacks to doctors to induce them to prescribe its pharmaceutical product.
In this instance the United States alleged the pharmaceutical company paid multiple types of kickbacks to induce doctors to prescribe their drug product, including providing more than 85 free meals to doctors and staff from a high-prescribing practice; paying doctors $5,000, and speakers $6,000, plus expenses, to attend an "advisory board" that was partly planned, and attended, by the drug company's sales team members and paying approximately $92,000 to a physician-owned pharmacy under a performance-based rebate agreement.
According to the Corporate Whistleblower Center, "If you are a medical doctor and you have witnessed something that looks like a kickback from a drug company, or this is an ongoing scheme on the part of a drug company to get physicians to over prescribe certain medications please call us and please anytime at 800-714-0303 and allow us to discuss the possible reward potential of your information. Occasionally these types of rewards can be in the millions of dollars. Why sit on a winning lotto ticket without ever knowing what it might or could be worth?" http://CorporateWhistleblower.Com
Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a major whistleblower. The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It's a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower's information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company or individual to come clean stark on anti-kickback laws or overbilling Medicare. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it's sufficient, we will help find the right law firms to assist in advancing your information."
The Corporate Whistleblower Center wants to emphasize there are high quality whistleblowers in every state, including California, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Rhode Island, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, or Alaska.
The Corporate Whistleblower Center is the premier advocate for whistleblowers in the United States.
