CHICAGO, March 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- For the third consecutive year, Coors Light and basketball great, Kenny "The Jet" Smith, have teamed up to invest in communities across the country by refurbishing basketball courts.
Coors Light will donate up to $100,000 to make over community basketball courts in Oakland, New Orleans, Sacramento, and Chicago. Legal-drinking-age basketball fans can participate now through June 30 by using the hashtags #FullCourtreFRESH and #Over21. Coors Light will donate one dollar per tweet, up to $25,000 per city.
"I'm thrilled to continue my partnership with Coors Light Full Court reFRESH," said Smith. "Over the last few years, we've done great work in communities across the country, and it's important to continue preserving the legacy of public courts."
Coors Light partners with the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP), Sacramento Kings Foundation and Warriors Community Foundation to identify and enhance community basketball courts. MillerCoors also provides incremental funding for economic development initiatives. In collaboration with local community partners, Coors Light will host special events featuring Smith to share the program's impact.
"The Coors Light Full Court reFRESH program is a unique opportunity to invest and make a tangible difference in our communities," said Steve Canal, national community affairs manager at MillerCoors. "In collaboration with our partner, the National Urban League, we've invested more than $350,000 to restore community courts across the country."
Basketball courts are important cultural centers. They're often a place where communities connect and people aim to improve their game. Full Court reFRESH is just one of the ways that Coors Light encourages everyone to "Climb On," to achieve goals and conquer personal mountains.
"The Coors Light Full Court reFRESH program offers our members an unprecedented opportunity to demonstrate leadership and empower others. Programs like this not only bring people together, but also leave lasting impressions on our communities," said Carlos Clanton, president of the National Urban League Young Professionals.

About Coors Brewing Company
Coors Brewing Company was founded in 1873 by Adolph Coors, who chose the Clear Creek Valley in Golden, Colo., for his new brewery because of the pure water in the nearby Rocky Mountain springs. The brewery's original and most enduring beer is Coors Banquet (Coors.com, Facebook.com/CoorsBanquet, YouTube.com/OfficialCoorsBanquet), still brewed exclusively in Golden using only Rocky Mountain water and high-country barley. Coors Light (CoorsLight.com, Facebook.com/CoorsLight, @CoorsLight on Twitter, YouTube.com/CoorsLight) was introduced in 1978 and now is the second-best-selling beer in the United States. Triple-filtered smooth Keystone Light (KeystoneLight.com, Facebook.com/KeystoneLight) is one the country's most popular economy beers. Coors Brewing Company operates in the United States and Puerto Rico as part of MillerCoors, a joint venture of SABMiller plc and Molson Coors Brewing Company.
