Coordinated Health "I'm Good" and "Show Us Your School Pride" Programs Celebrate Both the Student Athlete and "Athlete Within"
TV campaign features five schools and 13 teams from Greater Lehigh Valley
ALLENTOWN, Pa., Oct. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Coordinated Health, one of the region's leading specialized hospital, orthopedics and sports medicine networks, today unveiled two innovative programs that celebrate Greater Lehigh Valley athletes and "the athletes within."
The I'm Good campaign honors the unique relationship Coordinated Health's nationally acclaimed sports medicine team has with the sports community in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey. The campaign includes three television commercials shot two weeks ago with more than 100 area athletes representing 13 teams and five high schools. More than 20 Coordinated Health physicians and athletic trainers participated.
Part of a fully integrated marketing campaign that crosses television, social media, outdoor, radio and print media, I'm Good starts this week with a 30-second regional and national television commercial featuring Bethlehem Catholic High School soccer, Liberty High School basketball, Nazareth Area High School field hockey, and Parkland High School football. The spot can be viewed starting today on Coordinated Health's YouTube channel at http://youtu.be/ZwLREgKZcU0?.
"Over the last 25 years, Coordinated Health has treated more than one million student athletes at hundreds of thousands of sports events through our team physicians, athletic trainers and support staff," said Coordinated Health President Jim Tsokanos. "With the I'm Good campaign, we wanted to do something special to honor and celebrate the unique relationship we have with our high school athletes, their coaches, trainers, parents, and team physicians."
In total, the three television sports are scheduled to air more than 2,500 times regionally and nationally, to feature these Lehigh Valley sports:
- Bethlehem Catholic High School: soccer
- Liberty High School: basketball, lacrosse and wrestling
- Nazareth Area High School: field hockey
- Parkland High School: football and softball
- Lehigh Valley Baseball Academy
- Valley Elite All Stars cheerleading
- "Weekend warrior" pickup basketball
The Show Us Your Pride campaign culminates with a 60-second documentary-style video that showcases Easton Area High School athletic spirit. To debut on local television this evening, the video is the winning prize for the high school, which won this month's Coordinated Health school-spirit social media contest.
The campaign started as a spinoff of the Coordinated Health Athlete of the Week program, which has earmarked more than $90,000 in scholarships for high school student athletes and honors the student athletes' contributions both on and off the field.
"Over the last year we've really been engaging with students via social media and asking them to share their thoughts and ideas," said Tsokanos. "Every week, we are on the sidelines and in the training room providing care for many champions, including Lehigh University, Lafayette College and Moravian College, and 14 high schools. The documentary celebrates hometown pride and the athlete within. It shows that you don't need to be an athlete to express your pride."
Coordinated Health's Show Us Your Pride contest, which ran from October 1st to 15th, challenged students to showcase their pride using Twitter by sharing tweets, photos and videos of their school pride.
Nineteen schools rallied their fan bases to compete, and Easton Area High School earned a staggering 265,572 votes in two weeks, defeating rival and second-place school Freedom High School by 26,118 votes.
The winning video celebrates Easton Area High School's Rover Nation spirit groups, including its student section, band, cheerleaders and football team. The video's television debut is tonight on the weekly high school football review show The Big Ticket, which airs on eastern Pennsylvania's WFMZ-TV. The spot can also be viewed starting today at www.coordinatedhealth.com/spirit.
