Contemporary Services Corporation Provides Security Services for San Antonio's Illusions Theater

NORTHRIDGE, Calif., March 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC), the world leader in event security and crowd management, assisted with the opening of San Antonio's newest entertainment venue, the Illusions Theater at the Alamodome. On February 9, CSC San Antonio provided backstage and barricade security along with door search services for the Monster Energy Music as a Weapon 5 Tour, which featured hard rock bands Korn and Sevendust. The new theater is a modified conversion of the north end of the Alamodome and is designed to seat between 3,600 and 11,600 people. The theater configuration can be sectioned off from the rest of the facility with an array of long panels for added flexibility.  Additional ceiling panels and carpet enhance its acoustics, while new floor seating and LED lighting offer greater intimacy. The $1 million in theater improvements were funded using the hotel occupancy tax, and many of the additions used for the theater are component parts that can be used for other events. The theater's flexible capacity also makes it a viable space for conventions. Previously, larger conventions required meeting space in multiple exhibit halls and venues, but the Illusions Theater allows these larger groups the opportunity to gather in one place.

The Alamodome projects to host a dozen new events in the Illusions Theater in 2011, with bookings steadily increasing throughout 2012. CSC San Antonio has provided crowd management services for the Alamodome since 2002 under the direction of Event Services Manager, David Lucero.  They have assisted with many high profile events such as the NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Final Four, Monster Jam, George Strait, New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys Training Camp and Valero Alamo Bowl.
