"The sale and administration of health insurance is complex and we believe that our customers, including more than half of the 20 largest carriers in the nation, deserve a partner that addresses their unique needs, not one that offers a cookie-cutter solution," said Kevin McClain, senior vice president of operations at Connecture. "Over the years, Travis and his teams have demonstrated a stellar track record of success implementing our configurable and proven technologies to achieve our customers' vision of the ideal – all while completing their work under budget and ahead of schedule time and time again."
In his new role, Potts will oversee implementations of Connecture's technology and ongoing maintenance at the numerous carriers that utilize InsureAdvantage – the leading platform for health insurance distribution. He will also be responsible for the management of client services teams in Atlanta, Ga., Farmington, Conn. and Waukesha, Wis.
Prior to joining Connecture, Potts served as a project manager at Northwestern Mutual, a position he held for nearly nine years. Earlier in his career he was a software developer for Fiserv, a provider of information management and electronic commerce systems for the financial services industry. Potts also taught leadership classes at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point during his extended service in the U.S. Army.
"I am fortunate to work with solid professionals on the Team that never lose sight of the importance of our work, what it means for carriers' profitability and how it impacts their ability to efficiently and effectively deliver healthcare in the United States," said Potts. "My Team and the others that comprise Connecture's client services operations, as well as our product team and other support teams, are intimately familiar with how health insurance companies work, but they also understand that each one is different. That understanding and appreciation of their individuality is what enables us to consistently address our customers' most pressing needs successfully."
Potts is based out of Connecture's headquarters in Waukesha. He will report directly to McClain.
